  • E2 Visa for a tech startup

I have am working on upcoming startup most probably getting the funding of about $150k which will be mostly my salary.

Now I I get the funds deposited to my account can I use those funds for E2 visa purpose?

If the funds must be from my home country, do we have to have the bank documents that prove the transfer? I am saying this I have also 50$k saving in my bank account in my home country. But the transferring the money is a little problematic.

Investment funds must be actively used in the creation of your business entity. Funds sitting in an account are not considered investment funds. ACTIVELY means buying, procuring, investing into the business be it services, supplies, office equipment etc. If you are the investor funds must be clearly in your possession and control before being used into your investment. Funds can come from a US account you own and control or a foreign account you own and control. You must demonstrate the funds are legally obtained either way. You seem to imply the $150K is mostly going to your salary which would appear to create self employment which DOES NOT qualify for E visa purpose.
