Is it mandatory to add the Spouse Name in my Password to get Dependent Visa for Wife?

Hi,

Could you please let me know whether it is mandatory to add my Spouse Name in my Indian Passport to get L1 Dependent Visa for my Wife ? I have the Marriage Certificate and also my Wife's Passport have my Name in the spouse Name Column in her Passport.

Please let me know whether it is an issue ?
