Kids Under 7 Years - L2 Visa

My husband I and Kid of 6 months old have applied for the Fresh L1 and L2 Visa, We have appointment scheduled for OFC for all three of us on October 11 th 2012 and Personal interview on 12 th October 2012.
We are not taking the kid for interview, is it mandatory to get the OFC done for the kid too?
Please help.
