does L1B work for a different client

If a software consultant who works for a company x , comes to the US on L1B to work for its client . Can he start working for a different client if that client is also X's client.L1 B is still valid for another year.

From June 6th 2005, Those coming on L1B cannot work for the client of the petitioning company. Refer the link below.
