Hello,
I am a British citizen living and working in the UK but for a German company. I worked for 3 years part time for the UK branch of the company whilst completing my bachelor degree in Business Management, and have worked for a complete year full time for the parent company. I am confident I would be considered an 'executive'; I am solely responsible for the growth and development of our share in the American market, and the business operations involved.
For the business to move forward it requires me to be in America. I do not require employment in America, I will be paid by my foreign employer. At first it will be mainly travelling around, trade shows, market research, finding new customers etc. but within 12 months it could develop into needing a business premises of which I will need to source and work from.
Ideally I need to go to America early January, so I was hoping you could offer some advice on my options, how easy the visa's are to obtain, length of time, processing fees, extensions etc. I have been to America twice already this year on a VWP that doesn't expire until Jan 15.
What problems am I likely to face with application? I am only 22 will that affect me? If I get refused a visa I will be out of a job!
