L1B Extension in Initial Review for more than 4 and half months

Hi All,

My company applied for L1B extension on July 17th (I94 Exp: July 27th) and its still in Initial Review.
It has been 135 days since applying extension. I reached out to my employer and they confirmed they did not receive any info from USCIS.
Kindly let me know if this is a common scenario, I'm not sure if this occurred for any others in this portal.

Its become quite common nowadays to see 4+ Months processing time for L1 extension requests filed under normal processing.

Thank you Raghvi... I have another colleague of mine who applied L1 visa ext on the same day as mine, he received RFE last month.
I was hoping to receive the same but it did not. Then I reached out to my employer to apply for a follow up of my case with USCIS and they got back with a tracking number which says I can expect response in 20 days. Is there a chance of response with direct decision (approved or rejected) or is there a chance of getting RFE. Thank you.

An approval can be direct but a refusal is generally preceded by an RFE.

I have applied on 08/20 and I was told by my attorney they are receiving the responses for the cases they applied in July. Hope you will hear soon from the USCIS and keep posted your case status.
