L2 Visa application help needed

My partner has just moved to the US and has a 3yr L1 visa. We did not apply
for my L2 visa at the same time as I had work commitments and was unable to
have a confirmed date for resignation.

I would like to apply for an L2 visa now as a dependent, what
information/papers would I need to obtain for my partner? Would it pose any
difficulty as we are unmarried?

If you two are not married you cannot obtain an L2 visa based on his/her L1 visa.
