Change of visa status from L2 to H1

I am on L2 visa, applying for H1. After my H1 approval, if my husband's L1 extension is approved, will my H1 be invalid and back to L2 (last action)? Or I have to re-enter US with visa of choice (either L2 or H1) ?

When is the L1 visa and associated I-94 expiring?
Would H1 be filed as COS or Consular process?
