Hello,
I am leaving my US employer and applying for a change of non-immigrant status from L-1 to B2 as I want to travel in the states for several weeks before I go back to the home country.
Can someone advise on what would be the correct answer to this question in I-539:
- Have you or any person included in this benefit request been employed in the United States since your or his or her last entry into the United States or the day of his or her last grant of an extension or change of status?
I presume it should be "yes" as I was legally employed under L1 visa after my last entrance in the US but I am not sure if I am interpreting this question correctly.
Also the online system does not allow to choose a future date as an ending date in the employment history section. May be someone has dealt with this issue before.
