L2 EAD Renewal

Hi ,

I applied for L2 EAD renewal(e filed) on Feb 28 . This is my 3rd renewal and last 2 times I have recieved my biometrics appointment with in a week.This time it is been more than a week and I have not recieved the biometrics appointment yet.

Is Biometric appointment required always?If it is not Should I be sending my photographs?

Reuire information on applying EAD for L2 visa

Hi all,

My husband has travelled to East hartford, Connecticut and i am planning to travel in next month on L2 visa.we our selves has sponsered to my L2 visa since my husband trip is for only 3 months.
iam planning to take work assignment from my current company at the same location and iam trying to get applied EAD from my current company, since my company office is available in the same location.
If work assignment is not planned i may take leave for 2 months and go there, during my stay can i initiate for applying EAD of my own or thru company?however it works.

I have few queries:

1. Whether my current employer can apply EAD and SSN number for me?
2. How long it takes for getting EAD, i have seen max 90 days...but by the time if my husband trip ends, EAD cant be received ? whether i should stay back there for 3 months mandatory to receive EAD card?or my husband can take it if his trip is extended for more than 3 months?pl suggest me i dont have any idea on this?
3.If I have recived EAD card, if i returned back to india without working in US then later if i plan on going L2 visa with my husband, will that EAD card still be valid or do i need to apply again?
3. Whether i can do transfer from L2 to L1 visa, so that i can stay back and continue my work, since if work assignment i get from my company is for long term?


Pl do the needful, we are planning to use my L2 visa then my husbnads also can plan for long term so that we can both work together in the same location.
