Query: L2 Visa Processing Time and Delay in my visa interview dates

Hi ,

I have filled my DS-160 and submitted on April 17th. My husband's company is initiating my visa. Initially my husbands's company told us that it would take 3-4 weeks to get the Visa.
But today is already May 28th. Its been 6 weeks already and we don't have any information yet. What could be the possibility in delay? We have submitted DS-160, My photo, Marriage certificate, my husband's I-94 number and all necessary documentation.
1. How many days does it take to schedule an interview with the consulate?
2. How soon can i get the dates if the company schedules the interview today?

Seems odd. Normally folks get visa appointment within a Month. Check what is taking so long, and if possible fill the DS-160 yourself and schedule it, it might seem overwhelming but its not very difficult and worth every effort.

I had filled my DS-160 myself and submitted. It is only the visa appointment that is being scheduled by my husband's company.

In how many days can i get the interview date with the consulate if the company schedules it today?

I cant say about the dates availability in a particular consulate but I guess you should be able to get a date of within next 1 Month. Again, it depends upon the availability, fresh H1 visa stamping have not yet started, but at the same time school holidays in US, many may be travelling back for stamping.
