Choosing between L1B Blanket Vs. Individual Petition

Hi,

My L1B visa was issued in 2012 and is going to expire on Jan 2015. My employer's attorney is asking me to travel to my home country (India) to renew the L1B visa. I came to know that the visa (or rather the I-94) can be extended without leaving USA. if I take this route, I understand I have to go for stamping, if I ever visit India in the next 2 years.

I need to choose between L1B individual vs. L1B blanket petition. Does anyone know the rejection rate of L1B individual petition vs. L1B blanket petition ?
