L1 A individual visa interview query

Hi, my visa interview for L1A individual category is scheduled in 2 weeks from now. I have read lot of forum threads on visa interview questions. I came across that lot of them mentioned about the $500 (Rs 31000 approx.) DD for fraud and protection.
I am confused that for L1A individual category, do I also have to make that DD for $500.

All L1 category have to pay that, typically your employer should be making this DD and giving it to you.
