    Hi all,

    Situation is as follows...
Sister, UK citizen living in the US for past 5 years under H1 visa, has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and been given 6-9months so I'd like to head out to help look after her etc.

Now I work for a Multinational company that has factories in both UK and US so I was thinking I could get a 12 month transfer to the US and work under a L1B visa however I'm not management nor do I hold a degree. I work in the print/packaging industry and my job is considered semi-skilled.

Although I hold a qualification (NVQ lvl2 in business improvement techniques) that is used for additional parts of my job I don't know of this will be a recognised qualification?

Also being the one of only a few people in the business holding this qualification would that be enough to constitute 'Specialized knowledge'?

To quote the website... "Specialized knowledge employee has more skills or knowledge than the ordinary employee. However this doesn't require an extraordinary level of skills, merely more than the ordinary employee in the company or field"

Although this seems applicable would it still be true for factory floor level employees or this this only aimed at higher level/management? If this is a no go is there anything I can do regarding "exceptional circumstances"??

    Thanks for any help!
