Hi
I am currently an Indian citizen and my fiance is working in US on a L1(blanket) VISA. We are planning to get married next month and in this regard I have the following doubts:
(1) Since he is on L1(blanket) VISA, I should be filling DS160 for L2(blanket) VISA right (as a dependent) ?
(2) Currently I am a residence of West Bengal and after marriage I will be moving to Chandigarh (Haryana) , so is it fine I give my State of residence as West Bengal and choose the Post of Interview as New Delhi, since after marriage it will be more convenient for me to go and give an interview in Delhi?
(3) Can I fill the form (DS160) now only, i.e. by end of March, so that after the marriage happens I can give the interviews asap and get the VISA? Will that be any issue later on? We don't want to delay the VISA issuance process. If I fill the form now, I can get the preferred dates, however later on if I fill - it might get delayed.
Can you please help us with these queries?
Any pointers will be very much appreciated.
Regards,
Deboshrestha
