L1A Blanket Visa - Admin processing

Hello Friends,

I have scheduled my L1A Blanket visa stamping at Ottawa US Consulate on May 11. Kindly share recent experiences along with what type of questions being asked. Any information in this regard will be of great help. Also, my company has alerted me that I might get choose in admin processing due to islamic name and need to stay there for 2 to 6 weeks. My last L1 B visa [ 25 years back] i got it from Canada US consulate and did not have any issues.

Please let me know if any one see any issue with my situation in recent times. advise me

L1A Blanket and H1B at the same time.

Hi All,

My Company have filed H1B Petition as a programmer for 15-16 fiscal year, While it is being processed, My company has asked me to submit the Documents for L1A-Blanket as Program Manager.

Can we Apply/File 2 visas at a time ..?

Your employer is not filing "visa" they are filing what is called a petition. Yes, they can file both H1 and L1 petitions for you at the same time. Eventually you will use one of these, if approved, to file for a visa request at US consulate.

Thanks Raghvi - Is it correct/legal to file two petitions (H1B and L1A) at the same time for two different roles (Programmer/Program Manager).?

Yes, it is legal to file petitions for more than one category simultaneously.
