Hi Experts,
My husband is already in US on L1A visa. Now I am planning to join him on L2 along with Kids. We would be applying for the Visa soon but
there are discrepancies in name (before and after marriage) in our Passports. I have not yet changed the maiden name and I have valid passport
with my husband's name endorsed. I also have valid marriage certificate.
But In my husband's and one of the child's passport, my name is Prachi Husband's name & Surname i.e. after marriage surname
(it was done in anticipation that I would eventually change the name as few say it is recommended though I have not yet changed the name.
In my and another child's passport, it is Prachi Father's name and surname (Maiden name)
Would there be any problems while applying for Visa and interview due to this name confusion?
I have started the process of name change but having very bad experience in passport office as every time they come up with new document requirement which is not mentioned in their site. The whole process is very tiring and time consuming. Can I apply the L2 visa with existing passport status?
