L1-b/ I-94 extension

I am having L1-b visa valid till July 2016. My I-94 is also valid till 2016. In my previous visit I only stayed for 6 months in USA and came back and so out of 3 years I stayed for 6 months. If I go to USA again in jan 16 then how much extension I can get for I-94 i.e. 4 years or 2 years as my visa/i94 expires in July 2016?

Most probably only till July2016. A visa is issued on the basis of a temporary work petition(I129) filed to the USCIS. A petition is basically a request to USCIS to grant a
Approval (I797) for aTemporary visa for working in US. What is the date on your I129/I797?.

L1b extension

Thanks.I129 is valid for 7 years till 2020. My question is regarding duration of stay after extension. I am sure it will be atleast than 2 years but not sure if it can be more than 2 years as I stays outside US for one year.
