Hi,
I am on a L1 visa travelling to US next month. My wife has a L2 and an offer from her current company to give her a role in US.
I have a couple of doubts on the the overall process of applying for her EAD and getting her SSN. Please bear with me as I keep getting conflicting info.
1. Do I need to get an SSN for myself (primary) before my wife (dependent) can apply for her EAD?
2. What comes first, EAD or SSN for the L2 dependent? What needs to be applied first?
3. I understand that she needs to enter US with me to initiate her EAD, does she need to stay in the US for the entire duration till her EAD is processed?
4. Can she return back to India whilst her EAD is being processed and then return once he appointment date is confirmed?
