EAD Query

My husband is on L1- B an his visa is expiring in Oct 2015 (3 year duration). Hi company had applied for H1 B visa this year and there is no confirmation from USCIS on the visa acceptance/rejection. His company is now applying for L1B extension or L1A. I am currently working on EAD and need help with the following queries as it is getting expired in Oct 2015 .

1) How soon can i apply for my EAD extension? Do i have to wait till my husband gets L1-B/A approval with dates from USCIS.
2) Can i apply EAD as soon as we receive the receipt of application of L1B/L1A visa.
3) Time required to process extension of EAD by USCIS. Will i be required to submit all the documents that i had initially submitted for EAD. Guide on the process for EAD extension.

1. Your L2 EAD is valid only till your spouse's I-94 or till your spouse is in valid L1 status. So you may not need to wait till he L1B/L1A approval comes but the approval of EAD extension would depend upon his L1B extension /L1A approval.
2. Yes.
3. As mentioned time would depend upon how soon your spouse's L1B ext/L1A is approved. If in hurry ask his employer to file in premium once premium window re opens.
