  • Should the L1B visa holder be present for L2 dependant interview?

    Dear Friends,

I have valid L1B visa stamped last year and valid through 2017. I travelled to US last year and returned this march 2015. Now I am residing in India.
My company is initiating internal transfer for me and hence I would be moving to US by Oct 2015.

I have scheduled L2 visa interview for my wife in chennai. My question are
    1. Should I be accompanying(since I am in India) my wife to the interview?
    2. Should my wife be carrying my orignial I-797 and I-129S or just copies would suffice?

    Thanks in advance.

    Best Regards,
    Ashok.

    1. Not required.
    2. Normally copies suffice, but as you currently in India I dont see any issue in her carrying the originals.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
