Can an employer reduce the salary of a L-1 employee during his stay in the US. The reason the decrease being transfer to another city which has a lower cost of living?

Can an employer reduce the salary of a L-1 employee during his stay in the US. The reason the decrease being transfer to another city which has a lower cost of living?

This seems more of an internal company policy rather than an immigration issue. I dont think there are any minimum pay rules for L1B, but if pay is substantially low you can approach an independent lawyer to see if you have a case against the employer.
