i94 extension on passport renewal
My I-94 is expiring 2 months before my visa due to my passport expiry date.
I'm a Canadian living in the US on an L1B visa.
I'm currently renewing my Canadian visa. After the renewal, how can I get my i94 to have the same date as my visa. I need the time to complete my new Visa application process.
People have mentioned leaving the US and reentering with a new passport. Does that work in Canada? Is it a guaranteed extension?
