Dear Friends,
I have a situation about my VISA status in the USA and I 94. I need your expertise advice to understand and resolve the situation.
Here the trail of events about VISA and I 94.
1) I was on L1B for last 5 years and L1B was expiring on Aug/04/14.
2) I was granted I 94 until Aug/31/15 even though my L1B validity - by CBP
3) Company applied for L1B extension to utilize un captured time period, and extension approved from Aug/04/14 to Dec/28/2014.
4) Again Company applied for L1A (Change of VISA from L1B to L1A) on Dec/2/15
5) L1A was approved and valid from Mar/16/15 to Oct/31/16.
6) I 94 shows new date expiring Oct/31/16 - endorsed by USCIS.
7) I got Canada PR and visited Canada on July/4/15 to become PR (My I 94 is still valid as Aug/31/15 given by CBP).
8) While in return to USA, officer provided the I 94 validity date until Aug/31/15 as previously endorsed by CBP – He did not consider my L1A I 94 date of Oct/31/16 which was endorsed by USCIS.
Now my question is
a. Which I 94 is valid in my case? Is my present stay in USA legal at this time?
b. Can I stay and continue work in USA legally?
c. Do I need to visit Canada and get a valid I 94 under AVR, So that I will get ne I 94 valid until Oct/31/16?
