L1B RFE Response time

Hi, i got RFE for my L1B extension and waiting for response from USCIS, any idea how USCIS will take to respond. Also I have H1B approved for 2016, i have a family function which i need to go back to India.

Can i leave the country without the results from USCIS, does it affect my H1B stamping in India,

please advise.

Cant say for sure how many days it will take USCIS to respond, generally 60 Days. When is your L1B I-94 expiring? Is H1 and L1 for same employer?

Thanks Raghvi, my L1B I94 expired on June 24 thats why i applied for Extension. Yes my H1 and L1 is for same employer. whether i can goback and get stamping for H1 and i have to wait for till L1B result.

Yes you can but you will have to answer "YES" to the question in DS-160 of whether you overstayed any point of time on your period of allowed stay as you overstayed on your I-94. If asked, explain to VO about delay in getting L1 Extension. Also would advise you to tell employer to withdraw your L1 Extension request.

Yes you can but you will have to answer "YES" to the question in DS-160 of whether you overstayed any point of time on your period of allowed stay as you overstayed on your I-94.
