  • Form I-129S at the Port of Entry

    Hello,

I have a quick and urgent question here. I am on L1-B Blanket Visa.

Initially I had three copies of I-129S that I carried for Visa stamping. One copy of I-129S was retained by Consular office in Chennai. I was carrying the other two copies of I-129S with me while travelling to US. At the port of entry, one copy was taken by the officer. So now I only have one copy of I-129S with admitted stamp.

Is the officer at port of entry supposed to take one copy?

Also, if I want to travel to India and come back, does the one copy of I-129S that I have is sufficient?

Any quick response in this regard will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks & Regards !

Yes, I129S is only required on your first visit on your newly added visa.

You won't need any documentation while coming back to India.

Neither you'll need this form (the second copy you have is actually for your HR - not for you).

    Thanks,
    Libra

deepaangel3333 - I am in a similar situation. I was wondering if you were able to enter the US using an unstamped copy of I-129S form. Thanks a lot.
