can a person hold a valid B and L visa at the same time

i am currently in the UK and had planned for a vacation to the US this dec. I am a UK citizen and need only an ESTA. But my wife is an Indian citizen and she had to apply for a B type visa. She received the visa successfully. Now the company that i work fo is planning to deputise to the US for a project which will potentially start in Jan. They are processing an L1 visa for me . All the paper work is completed and i am required to schedule the visa interview. I am also applying for my wife's L2 visa at the same time.
my question is if i am successful in my L1 application
1- Will my wife's B1 visa be cancelled
2- if yes , will she be able to visit the US under an L2 application In dec. ( Please note i will be travelling for work only in Jan and my employers deputation letter etc will be only available then. they will not be made available for my planned vacation trip)
3 - if no , i presume it is valid to have both visa's in my wife's passport at the same time and is there anywhere specific at immigration where she will have to mention she is traveling as a visitor?

1. Most probably not.
2. If L2 approved, yes.
3. She should show her L2 visa to the officer.
