Can L2 EAD holder continue work when L1 extension is in Progress(L2, EAD are valid) ?

Hi
My L1B Visa is going to expire in FEB 2017. My company is about to file an extension for me in couple of days. My dependents Visa(L2) and EAD are valid until June 2018 and my dependent is currently employed. I want to know if dependent can continue working when my extension(L1B) is in progress ?
