Thanks Immihelp to giving somuch of different experiences,which helped me in my preparation.
Day1-Biometric went very fast.As I was with my wife and baby got first chance in queue.
Day2-The interview day.Appointment was at 10:30am.I took hotel radission blue near city center one,which only 5km away.Hotel guys infomed me that it will take max 30mins in peak hour traffic.But some roads were blocked by cops ,due to which too much traffic.For 5km it took me 1hr by car.I just reached consulate at 10:25am.So dont underestimate chennai traffic.Better to keep your mobile in cab,if it is from hotel .Because mobile locker is at a beetle shop ,too much to walk to keep your mobile.Then after all security check ,we entered consulate building .As I was with my family,I was told security person directly enter to building without standing in queue.Same preference I got for document check,draft submit and finger print check.After all formality ,they again fasttracked us and sent first on queue for interview.Then in 5mins we were sent to interview counter.Below is the interview experience.
Me- Greeted Goodmorning
VO- Greeted me back and said to pass my passports and 3 copies of I129 and 797.
VO- For many years you are with xxx?
Me-answered
VO-Will you be working for inhouse project or client project?
Me-will be working in Client project but for xxx
VO-Who is your client?
Me-Answered .YYY
VO-Tell me about your project?
Me- answered in 3 sentence.
VO-How many people are there onsite?
Me- Answered.In my explaination ,I said 1 person is already there but from different stream.
VO- Will you be reporting to him?
Me-No
VO- Who will be your reporting manager?
Me-Answered with my manager name
VO- Is he in US?
Me- No,He is in ISR.
VO-Tell me about your specialization and what will you do in US?
Me- Answered it clearly and confidently.First specialization then my roles and responsibility in US.
Then something different happened
VO- could you please wait for a while?
Me- Most tension time.
VO-returned back after 1 min.Said thank you for waiting.
To my wife-
VO-Mam what is your highest qualification?
My wife- Answered about her master degree.
Then golden word came.
VO- Your visa is approved ,stamped I129 and returned me 2copies of it.Said have a good day.
We-Thank you sir.
General opinion- be confident,prepare well from immihelp questions.Answer clearly.If your profile clear and you are confident in answer,you will get the visa.
