  • Are companies taxed less for hiring L1A employees?

My company is not willing to sponsor green card conversions for any of their L1 employees.
I have heard today that one of the reasons is that they are taxed LESS for employing L1 employees versus regular employees. I find it very odd, is that possible?

It all depends on the salary structure and break up. Example, there are companies who pay per diem instead of salary, per diem are non taxable.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
