EAD - Can I do freelance work with EAD for client OUTSIDE U.S.?

Hi all,

I am French living in the U.S. with L-2 visa and EAD work permit.
I would like to do freelance work from my apartment in the US, for a French client - outside the U.S.-.

First solution: Work as U.S. Freelancer and pay the related taxes in the U.S..
With my EAD, am I allowed to work for foreign clients?

Alternative solution: Work as a French Freelancer and pay the related tax in France.
Being on the US soil, I am allowed to work with a French freelance contract?

You can work in US, if you are tax resident of US, you need to pay taxes to US govt.
