  • L1B extension stamping

I'm in California, and I was wondering if I can get my visa extension stamp here or do I need to go back to my home country for that? If I can do it here, where can I do it and whats the process?

The visa on my passport expire on 2022

But my i797 will expire soon. So we applied for extension of this.

I am not sure If I am asking the right question here.

we recently applied for a visa extension, initially my i-797 notice of approval is valid only for 1 year. So we applied for extension. The visa on my passport will expire on 2022. may I-94 already expired this month.

    my question is,

what do I need to do next when my visa extension is approved?

    what are the process?

Do I need to go back to my home country?

I am really confuse with the lawyer that we hire to do this for us.
He said that If I go back to my home country after my visa is approved I need to renew my visa and go to the consulate from my home country. If I stay here I dont need to do anything. PLease can some please enlightened me about this.

We are also applying for my family extenstion.

If your Extension is approved USCIS might also issue a new I-94 and you can stay and work in US legally. If you cross the border then you may have to go to an US consulate or Embassy and have your passport stamped based on the new I-797.

This is my opinion and not a legal advice.
