L1B to H1B after applying for Green Card

Hi All,

I have a question about L1B to H1B transfer after applying for green card.

I am currently on L1B visa. My employer is ready to file my green card any time soon. But employer is not ready to file H1B visa this year.

Question: Is it okay if I transfer to H1B after my green card processing is started (while I am on L1B)?
