Please advise on what you believe to be the best course of action for my situation. Now that I have been accepted as an L2. I will be working in US for a Canadian company remotely. I will remain on Canadian Payroll.
1) In this situation, do you believe that it would be best to apply for an EAD as well?
2) As this situation could be slightly tenuous I was thinking it might be good to apply for an EAD to ensure that if the Canadian company were to cut me loose, I would be able to immediately start working (once EAD is received). Would the application of EAD raise any red flags for myself working for the Canadian company in the meantime? I assume apply for a SSN number at the time of EAD would be prudent as well
