  • DS 160 L1B extension

    Hi Friends,
My L1B (blanket) visa will expire in Mar 2019 and My company advised me to go for consular interview for the extension. And I am planning to go to Bahamas for the interview.
I have started filling up my DS 160 application and got some confusions around some sections like
    1. Home Address (shall I fill my current US address)?
    2. do I need to fill anything in Mailing address?
    2. Anyone Travelling with you (my family is also in US but they are not coming to the interview), so would my answer be yes or no.
    3. Have you traveled to any countries/regions within the last five years? (what should I anwser for this)

your help is highly appreciated. thank you in advance.

Your home address will be your permanent home country address.

Your mailing address will be your current US address

Say yes, your family will accompany you during your visit

For the last question, if you haven't traveled any other country then say "no". or else say "yes".

Thank you very much the reply.

For this question "if you haven't traveled any other country then say "no". or else say "yes"",
doesn't my current US stay/trip be considered as a travel?

I am also confused regarding the previous work experience, I am able to enter only previous 2 companies details. is that normal? what if we have worked for more than 2 previously.

Hi.. For L1 visa applicants for visa stamping for extensions when they are already in US.

What do they answer for - Who is your Current Employer? in DS 160 - Will this be the US employer? and the salary they draw in USD?

Will the foreign employment then count as a past employment once they have transferred to the US firm?

I am little confused, you cannot get visa stamped within USA, you'll need to go out, get stamped & come back.

Yes, US employer. If you are in USA & get paid in USD, then you've nothing to do with foreign employer anymore.
