L2 EAD urgent help

Hi,

I am applying for L2 EAD and then planning to track back india and resume my work.
I have planned to resign from my current organization once my EAD is approved.

Can i do this? or do i need to physically present while my EAD application is in progress.

You are not required to be in USA to continue your EAD application.
