  • L-1 to Green Card lengths?

How many years does an L1-B visa holder, from the UK, generally have to wait before applying for a Green Card?

Once they receive the Green Card, how long before they are able to apply for citizenship? Does a Green Card holder via an L1-A visa have to wait the same amount of time before applying for citizenship?

You can apply immediately, as soon as you enter USA - no need to wait.

Yes, GC to Citizenship is same duration for all type of visa holders, i.e. ~5 years.

If the L1-B visa holder applied straight away in EB-2 category, how long does the process roughly take? And EB-3 category?

Given the L1-B visa lasts a maximum of five years, it doesn't matter if the Green Card process takes longer than that?

You can apply as soon as your company is willing to sponsor you for the adjustment of status. How long the process takes depends on multiple factors:
        - do you need labor certification? If yes, it easily adds half a year to the process
        - is your category current? If no, then it depends how long it take for your priority date to become current
        - where do you live? Some field offices process in 6 months, others have 2 year processing time.

So it is hard to give a general answer, but you will be able to assess it if you answer the above questions.
