  • L1b extension premium

    My l1 b extension was sent to uscis on 16th which reached on 17th jan which is last day of my i 94 expiry. I have no status update after that. Its filed in premium. My attorney or employer has no update. When do u receive receipt? What if receipt date is after i94 expiry 17th in my case? By when should I receive some update on my case as it is filed in premium? Will really appreciate your inputs. On my questions

    You can call them up, give your first name, last name Date of birth , they should be able to give you the receipt number,
    if they have actually received and processed your documents.

      Generally they generate the receipt number on the same day the package is delivered to them.

      The receipt number takes somewhere around 7 to 10 days to reach the employer/attorney.

      If the receipt date is after your I94, then you are already out of status (not sure if I94 as 17th & receipt as 18th will still be considered fine - talk to an attorney).

      As L1A_asp suggested, try to call them & get your receipt number over phone - if they can provide that.

        No update

        Tried calling but they refused to give information saying they can give it to employer or lawyer only. I hope calling will not affect my case in any negative way. As she was not very willing to give information..

          Have your attorney call up.In my case on the day of the submission itself, attorney got the receipt number and shared with me.If it is premium, you should have ideally got the response also.

            They don't have time to properly process the application on time - forget about they remembering who called & putting a flag on your profile just because you called them

                  L1 and L2 both were applied. Hopefully will get to know something this week.

                    Update-

                    I received receipt dated 17th so its good there , for both L1and L2 its more than 16 days no update. Online status checked it says date of birth updated on 29th jan there was some issue with my name spelling and SR was raised by my Attorney but no update after that , its more than 15 days.

                    Does this happen in premium processing?

                        No update from Uscis its 20th day today. I think their typo error has resulted in additional processing time. Has anyone faced such situation where PP is beyond 15 days its California center.
