  • L1 VISA Eligibility

    Hi All,

Can any one please tell me, how much exp is required in same employer to process L1 VISA.
Out of my total 1 year exp in same organisation , I have 6 month @ offshore and 6 months @ onshore. Is it necessary to have 1 year of exp @ offshore only to process L1 VISA?
    Please help.

    Regards,
    sanjay

        Sanjay,

You need to have worked abroad for at least one year within the past three years. It needs to be one continuous year as well, as opposed to broken up time periods.

          L1 VISA criteria

Thanks to all for quick reply.

Onshore (On Site) - abroad say USA
          Offshore - India

My employer has just processed L1 VISA of my collegue who was with this employer since last one year (continious) in India. He never been in USA or some other country for continious one year. His VISA is processed and now he is in USA.
So one continious year exp is needed at India or abroad?
I'm really confused ....can you please make it more clear.

The one year has to be outside the US...one continuous year employed to the comapny in an overseas (outside the US) branch
