  • L1 visa doubt

    Hi,

I have B1 visa stamped for 10yrs and my current employer has filed L1 visa for me. I have doubts on my B1 visa validity
    1) Will my B1 be valid even if my L1 gets rejected?
    2) Can i reuse the B1 after my L1 expires?
    3) Can i have both B1 and L1 at a time?

    Please reply to this.

    Thanks

      1. If you appear at the LI interview and your L is rejected, they will most likely cancel your B visa
      2. I fyou get the L, you can reuse your B visa after the L expires
      3. Yes

B1/B2 being cancelled -reg-please clarify curiousone!

          Hi

I know this thread is too old but I hope you respond to my question - addressed to Curiousone cos of your reply to the earlier question similar to this.

I have an L1 approval since Nov 1 2007 ( valid upto Oct 2008) am back in India now to get it stamped. There has been high apprehension from our immigration people in US office with regards to stamping in India. But I took the chance to come here to get it stamped. And now am in India I cant go back without stamping as well.

But I also have a 10 yr multiple entry B1/B2 since July 2006.

          The question is

I have heard that my B1/B2 will be cancelled ONLY if my L1 is stamped as I cant have both visas.

In your earlier reply you had said if they reject L1 when you go for stamping in US consulate in India, they wud also cancel B1/B2...just wanted to make sure of this...is this still valid/correct?

Even if L1 stamping is rejected why would they cancel B1/B2..cos I dont have any other valid visa???

Your response would be highly appreciated.

          Thanks!
