EAD (L2) renewal

My wife is here on L2 visa and working here on EAD.

My L1 notice expiration date: Jun 2007
Her EAD expiration date: Jun 2007

Looks like her EAD expiration is based on my current L1 expiration.

My company is going to file my L1 extension in Jan 2007.

We need to apply for renewal of my wife's EAD.

Can we apply for her EAD renewal before my L1 extension is received ?
