H1 and L1??

Hi All,

My passport got Stamp for H1 on 31st July 2006. It is valid till Aug 2008. I did not go to US due to some reason.

Now My Current Employer want file L1 for me.

Am I Eligible for L1 Visa?
What is Implication on H1 visa if I get L1 Visa?
Will H1 remain Valid till if I get L1?
After Reaching to US on L1,Can I work with US Employer who gave me H1?

---- Why does your current employer wants to file a H1 now for you. For what company did you get your H1. Is it the same company or a different one

---- Yes, H1will remain valid till you get L1 (and that depends on the employer, if they revoke it then its gone)

After Reaching to US on L1,Can I work with US Employer who gave me H1?

---- No, at the POE you have to declare to whom you are going to work for and the visa status L1 or H1. Your I-94 will be issued accordingly. You can still retain the H1 and L1 in your Passport

---- Anyway if you are applying for L1, one more person seeking H1 has been deprived of the same as you have captured the quota and no one else can take that spot

*** Indian Employer and US Employer are different company. Indian Employer want to file L1 and with the Help of US Employer I have already got H1. So Both are different company.

*** I will enter in US on L1. My Stay depends upon project Duration. So Indian Empolyer can call me back to India within 4 months. Then i would like to use my H1. My Purpose is to stay in US, once i reach to US.
