Query regarding the L1 Visa

Hi,

Firstly, thanks a lot for the huge amount of important information provided on your website www.immihelp.com. Actually, I want to put forward one of my query regarding the L1 Visa in US. My question is:

1.) Can an L1 Visa holder take both his dependent parents (Father & Mother ) alongwith while he is going to US for work?

a.) What if he is married ??

b.) If yes, what is the Visa type the parents would be going on ??

L1 visa holder (or anyone) can't take his parents as dependents to US.

They would be coming to US separately on tourist visa for a short duration. They can't stay here permanently.

--------Father and mother are not dependents, so u cannot take them to US

------ Spouse can go to US on L2 visa

b.) If yes, what is the Visa type the parents would be going on ??

Parents can go to US by Tourist visa.(validity upto six months)
