question regarding L2 dependent visa

Hi,

I have applied for L1 visa and hoping to get in December this year. I will be getting married on February 1st week and planning to move to US in March. After marriage, I am planning to apply for L2 for my wife and both want to start to US at same time in March. Would like to know if this is possible to get L2 within one month. Also, would like to know if any changes to be done in my wife's passport before going to visa interview. Also, I heard that dependent visas(L2) can be applied only after the corresponding L1 visa holders work in US for one month. Please advice with any information.

L2 Visa

You can get the VISA in one month. I hope u can apply for her VISA after u get one. I dont see any coloum in the DS157 or DS156 asking for your marrige proof. When she goes to attend the interview you have to be married. If you are more doubtful, the next day after your marriage, you apply for her visa. Make sure your marriage certificate and marrige album is ready before she appears for the Visa interview. You can get a date within one month from the date of application easily. There is no restriction that u have to work for one month to get visa for your dependant.
