Hi,
I came to the US on an L1 from company A in Oct 1999, I was with the company for 1 year & 3 months and then joined another company B on an H1. I went to India before joining B, and my L1 was cancelled the day I left. I joined B after 1 1/2 months, on coming back from India. Later I moved to my current company C and a new H1 was filed.
My questions are:
1> Is the time I was on L1 included in the 6 years limit on H1?
2> Would the fact that I went back to India between my L1 & H1 status change, and the fact that the L1 was cancelled make any difference?
3> I have not filed for a green card. If the L1 time is included then my 6 years are up in Oct 2005. How soon would I need to start the GC process to be able to file for an H1B extension?
