Hi,

I am working on an L2 work permit with a firm who is sponsoring my H1B this yr in the US Masters Graduate quota. My L2 visa expires in July 2008.

a) What is the procedure after approval of H1B petition?
b) When can I start working on H1B?
c) Should I stop working for the firm in July, 2008 pending approval of H1B?
d) I work for a huge MNC and they are conscious of my visa expiring in July.

Someone please help me on the direction I need to take.

---- If you have a I-94 from a COS from L2 to H1 you can continue in the US

b) When can I start working on H1B?

---- On or after Oct.01, 2008

c) Should I stop working for the firm in July, 2008 pending approval of H1B?

---- If you stop working in July you will not have any status in the US

d) I work for a huge MNC and they are conscious of my visa expiring in July.

---- If they are aware of the situation, ask them for alternatives to continue staying in the US legally maintaining a valid legal status
