  • Doubt about L1 visa stamping

    Hi Sir/ Madam,

Our visa is expiring in coming March, we have filed extension through company.

I just want to know your views and option about continuing here for few more months or getting it stamped in India. As rejection rates are high these days, we are little about it.

One more thing, i just want to know how long one can stay in U.S without stamping?
    Thanks in advance.

I assume you are holding an L1 B Visa and you have already applied for your extension.

If USCIS approves your extension of stay, they will send you the I797 and I94 for the extended period. With I797 and I94, you can stay in the US for that approved period. You do not need your passport to be stamped for being in the US, applying for your license etc.

You need stamping only if you go out of United States and come back.
