I'm new to this forum.
My L1B (Blanket) expires on Jun'15 2009 and for L1 extension, my employer is suggesting to visit home country, make a stamping and again go back to US for continuous work. He is also point out the process will be Blanket renewal while processing for stamping.

1. Can someone help me what is the difference between new L1 blanket and Renewal L1 blanket?

2. If Renewal L1 blanket is applicable, what will be the risk factor?

3. My employer is suggesting to visit home country by March'2009 for renewal stamping. suppose if my L1 renewal is declined, can i come back to US and continue my work till June'15 2009.

1, 2. Do your homework. There is tons of info available out there, atleast make an effort once before asking.

3. You employer is indulging in illegal ways of running business, malpractices and fraudelent activities for getting cheap labour and their immigration benefits. So they are scared that like everyone else, they will also come under the scanner if they apply for extension from here. Or they would not hesitate to apply for extension without you going out of country.

If you L1 is denied, they will probably cancel your old visa too at the consulate.

No one cares what you think, this is a great forum. I think you heard what you wanted to.
