Hello,
While I was at the university, I developed a technology that we patented. I started a business in Canada. I own 100% of the stock of this company. A businessman from the united states contacted me and he offered to finance the product in the united states. He offered me 50% of a new US company that we created for this purpose. I own the shares in my personal name, not in the name of the canadian company.
He now wants me to move to the US to be the CEO of this new company. Can the two company be considered branches / joint venture for the purpose of getting an L1 visa?
