Question wrt H1B instead of continuing with L1 visa

I would like to find out what I should be answering to the consular if in case I’m asked following question:

Why my current employer applied for H1B instead of continuing with L1 visa, basically why did we change the visa category?

Like it has already been told, these imaginary questions never get asked. Even if they did, H1b, L1 are all employer petitions and you don't have much choice about what the employer decides to do or process for you.

You cannot or should not answer such questions and direct them to the HR department of the company and say HR decided that it was the approach they need to take.
